However, I think they must be ready for war.
WILLY: That’s interesting. Thanks, Barbara. Janet, you’re on
the air.
JANET: Uh, hello, Willy. I was born just before World War II

I believe our politicians should do everthing they can
to stop wars forever.
WILLY: Thanks for your opinion, Janet. Our last caller is Leon.
LEON: Hi, Willy. Although I’m sure our government wants
peace, We should remember that war is big business.

forever.
CD4 - LISTENING RADIO BUSİNES PRACTİCE- 8
ALAN: John! Sorry I’m late. Did you just get here?
JOHN: Right-oh. Just a few minutes ago.
ALAN: How long was your trip?
JOHN: Too long. From Sydney to London it was twenty-three
hours. We had one stopover in Bangkok for about an hour.
ALAN: No luggage? Where are your clothes?
JOHN: The airline lost my suitcase… with all my clothes in it.
ALAN: So what are you going to do? We have a very important
meeting tomorrow morning.
JOHN: I know. Where can I get a new suit?
ALAN: I think I know a couple of shops nearby.
But don’t you want some breakfast first?
JOHN: No, thanks. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner on the
plane. Twice, I think. Alan, let’s just see about the suit.
Dear Carol,
I arrived in Duplin a few hours ago and I’m very tired.
What a long trip! It took twenty-four hours from Sydney, with
only one stopover in Bankgok. You’ll never believe what
happened to me. The airline lost my suitcase! And it had all my
clothes in it, too! I didn’t know what I’d wear for that important
business meeting tomorrow. Alan met me at the hotel, and said
that he knew of a few shops nearby. He suggested that we first
go have breakfast, but all I could think about was buying a suit
for the meeting. I’II let you know what happens.
All the best, John.
